How long does it take to fix my car?

At Mike's we understand that even being a day without your car is an inconvenience. Therefore, we work quickly but thoroughly to return your vehicle back to you. How long the process takes is determined by the amount and severity of damage, the type of vehicle and the availability of parts.

My insurance company is telling me I must use another facility. Can I still have my vehicle repaired at your shop?

Yes, Yes and Yes! You have the right to repair your vehicle at any shop you choose. In fact, there is a law in Pennsylvania that prohibits anyone from telling you that you must have your car repaired at a certain shop.

How can I pay for the repairs?

The simplest way is to endorse and submit the insurance claim check to the repair shop.  Other acceptable forms of payment are cash, certified bank check, money orders and Visa and Master Card.  We apologize but we do not accept personal checks, American Express or Discover Cards.

Who and what are wreck chasers?

Some repair shops believe it is ok to hire individuals to drive around searching for accidents.  When they come upon accidents they will try to pressure or bully those involved in an accident to allow them to take your car to the repair shop that employs them.  If you later decide to have your car removed to a shop of your choice, exorbitant fees are charged.  Wreck Chasing is an illegal practice in Pennsylvania.

What should I do if a wreck chaser is at the scene of my accident?

Kindly thank the person for offering their services and inform them that you are handling the matter yourself.  Then give our tow service a call 215-342-3037.

What if my car has frame damage?

Today's vehicles are more advanced in their frames then the cars of the past. Frames are made strong in some areas and weaker in others - called "collapse" or "crush" zones. These zones are designed to absorb and channel energy around the cabin of the car to keep you safe. The result is that minor collisions can cause frame damage to some extent.  But, you do not have to worry because our body shop is equipped with the most advanced technology and our technicians receive the highest level of training to ensure your vehicle is properly repaired.
